The Coronavirus, officially known as SARS-CoV-2 and causing COVID-19, currently has the world in its grip. As organizers of an event of considerable size, we believe it is our duty to keep everyone informed of how this virus may affect this event and what actions we will take.
We closely follow the news and the official statements made by the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. Our venue has shut down it’s operations and will be closed for the public until April 1st of this year as a consequence of our government shutting down all events and gatherings of more than 100 people. As our event is in (late) June we currently have no direct reason to believe it will be affected. However, should the officials advise us negatively we will of course take measures, for which a backup plan exists. Likewise, if a majority of our guests and/or visitors are unable to travel to our location due to the virus, we will do the same. The measures that we’ll take in such cases include possibly postponing (not cancelling) the event to a later date.
At this time we have every reason to believe and even more hope that the event can continue as planned. We hope to see you there!
